Irish National Lottery Scam Emails - Irish Lottery Board sweepstakes programme

Sample Scams Emails Involving the Irish National Lottery

How to Recognize Them and What To Do If You Receive One
"The Irish Lottery Board sweepstakes programme" Scam

Below is a scam email, supposedly from the Irish Lottery Board, received in February 2007. We've highlighted some of the obvious clues that it is a fraud. Notice the the use of free yahoo email accounts (not likely for a professional lottery!), gibberish phrases, many typos and misspellings, the selection by a "computer draw system" of random email balloting, so nobody buys a ticket (NO lottery does this!) and other nonsense.

See this page for much more information.
