Lottery Scams - Reply from the Scammers at:
The British National Lottery
"Mrs. Stella Ellis", "Mr. Maxwell Smith",
Mr. Robert Spencer at Parcel Flight Courier Ltd.

If you replied to the email from "Mrs. Stella Ellis" at "The British National Lottery" telling you that "your email address won in the second category" or something similar, and to contact "Mr. Maxwell Smith" to collect your winnings, you will probably get one of the emails below back from the scammers. Notice the new name added to the list: Mr. Robert Spencer at Parcel Flight Courier Ltd.

Although the most important clue is that no legitimate lottery will ever email a winner, nor require a winner to pay any fees, taxes or delivery charges, there are many other signs that this is a fraud.  Scroll down the page to read on the emails below to see how "winning a lottery" turns into "you owe us money!" as the con unfolds!

We have then forwarded your winning cheque to the courier firm that will handle the delivery. It will be delivered to your address. You are to proceed to your bank with the cheque to cash it once you receive it.

The process for claiming your win has been made very simple so that by the end of one week at most, you are assured of having received your cash prize of 1,000,000 Pounds. However, Parcel Flight Courier Delivery Services are responsible for sending you your Certified Cheque and the original copies of the documents which will require your signature.

Now that the scammers know they may have a gullible victim on the line, they send him an email from the "courier company - a fictitious company, notice that the email says to respond to a free hotmail account, not a company email address!

Still not hearing back from their victim, the scammers try another, more official looking email, complete with pictures of packages! Did you notice that although some of these emails are supposedly from different people at different companies, they all misspell "financial" exactly the same way?
