"I am a British Citizen with a God fearing looking for an honest Person to move along in this matter with all the diligence", "I seek your consent to present you as the Next of kin to the deceased since you have a similar name, so that the proceeds of this treasury bill can be paid to you rather than been confiscated by the Bank"

Have you received an email from "Samuel Robertson", who says "I am a British Citizen with a God fearing looking for an honest Person to move along in this matter with all the diligence"? And what follows is a convoluted sob story of one misery after another, along with a healthy dose of gibberish, spelling errors, terrible gram, syntax and punctuation, not exactly befitting an extremely wealthy person. And now, poor bereaved "Samuel Robertson", needs YOUR help as "I seek your consent to present you as the Next of kin to the deceased since you have a similar name, so that the proceeds of this treasury bill can be paid to you rather than been confiscated by the Bank". Odd that they'd pick a total stranger, in a foreign country to trust their money to, don't you think?

Of course, it is a scam. Don't reply to it.

Compliment of the season,

I am highly delighted to be in contact with you and sorry for the embarrassment this mail might be to you as we have not met or known each other before but please feel free to write me back and let me know if you can be of help, I am a British Citizen with a God fearing looking for an honest Person to move along in this matter with all the diligence.

Please I plead that you should not be disappointed with this email coming to you as an unsolictated mail but to see the proven reason why I have directed this email to you alone without any third party so that the confidentiality of this matter can be really observed as there is one life opportunity that God blesses a man with which in my heart I see this as not just an opportunity but a divine arrangement for upliftment and change in status.

My name is Mr. Samuel Robertson; I was a good friend to Late Mr. Joe Smith, a citizen of your country who was born on the 7th day of Jan 1946. Who until his death has no wife nor son or daughter to claim his funds hence he died here. He is a Contractor and has spent most of his life in my country United Kingdom.

Mr. Joe Smith was involved in the recent terrorist Bomb blast in London on July 7, 2005 and unfortunately he lost his life on the 8th day of July, 2005 at St.George Hospital, London Atlantic Highland, Since then I have made several enquiries to your Embassy to locate any of my friends extended relatives, this has also proved unsuccessful hence: he Has no next-of-kin at the time of his death.

After these several unsuccessful attempts to trace any Member of his immediate family hence I contact you. I am contacting you to assist in repatriating the assets and Capital valued at US$5.5million left behind by my friend before it gets confiscated by the bank where these huge deposits are.

The said Bank in London has issued me a notice to provide the next of Kin or have the treasury bill confiscated since I was the only known and close associate they know. Since I have been unsuccessful in my efforts locating any of my friend's relatives for one Month now, I seek your consent to present you as the Next of kin to the deceased since you have a similar name, so that the proceeds of this treasury bill can be paid to you rather than been confiscated by the Bank as the maturity of payment of this fixed amount have come and gone living the money in the custody of the Bank without any direction of use this have caused the Bank to have an eyebrow since they found out the my late friend is among the victim of the bomb blast that lost his life ,I having been living under anxiety and pressure as I know this fund can turn my life around if I can find a sincere partner to team with and have our mind focused in this cause so that have this fund secured and transferred out to your account fast to avoid confiscation by the Bank or declaring the money dormant and unserviceable.

I am not begging for your assistance over this issue as I cannot and never beg you to enter into partnership with me with a transaction of high magnitude and proven like this where a person with good understanding will have a good thought over this as a life opportunity that does not require to slip out of our hand and a life changing and a divine financial turn around.
