Have you received a scam letter from a Patrick Chan, who claims to be Executive Director & Chief financial Officer of Hang Seng Bank Ltd in Hong Kong. Chan claims he "will need you to assist me in executing a business project from Hong Kong to your country. It involves the transfer of a large sum of money. Everything concerning this transaction shall be legally done without hitch. Please endeavour to observe utmost discretion in all matters concerning this issue." Of course, this is not really from "Patrick Chan" in Hong Kong, and nothing about it is legal. It's really from a scumbag criminal who could be anywhere!
A very obvious scam, and even if it weren't, you'd be helping Patrick Chan to commit a felony. Notice the clues to the scam: poor grammar, several email addresses (all free accounts), vague generalities.
