February 28, 2007, from Emily:
I have a resume posted on Careerbuilder.com. I am currently employed but
wanted to see if the grass was greener any where else. In the last two weeks I
have received emails from toospoiled and now today from Administrative
Solutions.
When I first received the email from Toospoiled I was excited. Being a recent
graduate with a degree in theatre it seemed right up my alley. I mentioned the
email to my husband and he encouraged me to go for it. So I filled out the form
on the website. After I had entered my information my husband mentioned that I
should try google-ing the company to make sure they're reputable. A little late
but better than never I did a little research and of course found it to be
reported as a scam all over the net.
A few days later I received another email from Toospoiled giving me log in
information and asking me for more information. I just deleted it. Then in
another day or two I got the same email again and I replied stating that I had
done some research and found compelling arguments that Toospoiled was a scam and
asked to be promptly removed from their database. I haven't heard back from
them.
Just today I have received a new email from Administrative Solutions that is
formatted in exactly the same way as the Toospoiled email and their website are
remarkably similar.
Oh and one other tidbit. I marked that I was not interested in education at
this time, being that I just received my BA this past May, but I received and
interesting phone call yesterday. When I answered the man mentioned that I had
recently inquired about furthering my education online. I told him that I had
not and asked where he got my information to which he had no reply other than
that I had requested information online. I proceeded to explain to him that I
had not made any such request as I had just graduated less than a year ago. He
quickly ended the call. The number that showed up on my caller ID was
949-706-2266.
Note from CFR:
The phone number, 949-706-2266, is an unlisted number in Newport Beach, CA.
This suggests that the scammers behind TooSpoiled.com are based in Newport
Beach, or have an operation there.
April 2007:
I have gotten similar emails from Worldvoicenews and toospoiled as well.
CareerBuilder.com is the site my resume is posted on, but the have nowhere to
forward or complain about scams. Thanks, Mary

February 2007, from Anita:
I have received two e-mails from AdminSolutionsGroup.net and one today from
eBandSearch.com and one last week from
www.TooSpoiled.com. These emails did not
start, until I posted my resume on Hotjobs.com. Now, I did receive legitimate
offers from two companies, but the remaining offers are from the companied
listed in this email which I think is a scam of some sort.
I also noticed at the AdminsolutionsGroup site, there were a lot of pop-ups
and they ask you about furthering your education. I am already in school, so I
didn't check any of those boxes.
It is a shame you can't feel free to post your resume online for the purpose
of employment or to seek a better career.
February 2007, from Susanne:
I sent my resume to both ebandsearch and adminsolutions. I wish that I had
done more research before so. After sending my resume to adminsolutions I
received another job offer from them for a completely different position. I
can't say for sure, but I am 99% sure these are both scams. I also received an
offer from marcmichelsen@world-cash-utils.com , maybe you can give me some
insight
to this one as well. Thanks, Susanne
February 2007, from Scott:
Dear CFR -
I have my resume posted on the major job boards - Monster, HotJobs, career
Builder and just received an e-mail from Joyce
Tomlinson@ebandsearch.com
It looked suspicious when I read through the e-mail and your website
confirmed my suspicions. Like other job seekers with resumes posted, my address,
phone, and e-mail are "out there", but no personal info such as ss# or date of
birth.
I appreciate your diligence and info. If you need further info, please let me
know.
Thanks, Scott
March 2007,from Heather:
Hello I have received several emails from the following Good Grades Now and
Worldcareersite.com. A recruiter from this supposed Worldcareersite.com called
me and asked me a series of questions even requesting my mailing address. I felt
a bit suspicious because I have never had a recruiter contact me this way. They
sent a link to my email address and one I clicked on it there were a series of
unrelated questions about school loans which alarmed me. If anyone receives a
phone call or email from them please be advised. I have learned that reputable
companies do not contact you this way and when in doubt Google the company and
do some investigating before disclosing ANY information.
