Lottery Scam Email:
EU International Games

"CONGRATULATIONS! This is to inform you that you have been cleared a winner"

Here is yet another typical scam lottery winning notification.

Also see this page for a sample in the UK.

Below is another example of a fake lottery. If you really need an explanation as to the obvious signs that it is fake; here they are:

  1. Their website is a free Tripod website.  If they were a really lottery, they could afford the roughly $200 /real to host a real website with their own domain name.

  2. Similarly, their email address is a free yahoo account.  Hello?  McFly?  IS anyone listening?

  3. Misspellings, poor punctuation and bad grammar: "adviced" is not a word.

  4. Finally, they ask you to pay a courier to deliver your check.  You know, if they have money to give away, they could pay for the deliver.  Or simply take it out of the winnings.

Don't be an imbecile: There is no such thing as a legitimate lottery that will notify you by email; especially when you didn't buy a ticket from them!
