Sample Sweepstakes Scam Email: Microsoft Award Team Sweepstakes and AOL

Sample Lottery Scam Email:
Microsoft Award Team Sweepstakes
"
Microsoft and AOL" from Olivia Freeborn, MR. GARRY JOLLY, Kyle Hitchens or other names

"The prestigious Microsoft and AOL..." this email begins. This scam email is one of the funnier ones due to it's pathetically bad writing. Even if you get past the fact that AOL and Microsoft are absolute competitors, neither company is going to simply give away money in a sweepstakes.  they're in business to MAKE money, not hand it out randomly.

Notice the gibberish writing and other clues to an obvious fraud that we have highlighted in the letter; keep confidential, selected by a random computer lottery of email addresses, use of free email accounts, etc.

It is a typical scam sweepstakes winning notification.
