Examples of Work-from-Home Scams

Internet Auction schemes

Below is an example of an actual email promoting a work-from-home product that is much more likely to transfer your money to the guys selling the scheme than it is to make you wealthy!

Notice the typical signs of a worthless product, scam or gross exaggeration:

  • Hype and exaggeration!

  • Vague and ambiguous statements about how it works

  • A focus how greed and making wealth, rather than sound business principals and the mechanics of the plan

  • Do it in your spare time!

  • Claims that, unlike all the others, "This plan works!"

  • Unsubstantiated claims "we've made thousands of people wealthy", earn "thousands $$$ per month"
